Certainly one of the only sites in this guide with a multiplex cinema just outside the gate, you are greeted here by a very attractive entrance with flower displays. The site offers 160 spacious level pitches, 44 with hardstanding and 100 with 10A electricity hook-ups. The pitches are well laid out around a large field and there is a tent area just behind two grassy mounds. The grass and gardens are well trimmed and kept very tidy. The site also offers hook-up points for tents. The adjacent sports complex has been rebuilt and was used for the 2012 Olympics.

From the cinema complex you can hop on a bus to Edmonton Green or Ponders End station from where there is a regular service into central London (journey time around 40 minutes). The friendly site managers have detailed information about the various Travel Card schemes available. Alternatively, historic Waltham Abbey, Epping Forest and the 1,000 acre River Lee Country Park are all within easy access. This is a popular site, very well looked after and kept clean and tidy by site managers, this is a peaceful stop within easy reach of the city.

Directions to Lee Valley Camping and Caravan Park, Edmonton

From M25 take exit 25. Follow signs for the city. At first set of traffic lights turn left (Freezywater). Continue on for 6 miles. Follow signs for Lee Valley Leisure Complex. After roundabout (where A110 crosses) turn left at second set of traffic lights onto the complex. Follow site signs.
