Alan Rogers Review
This delightful site lies about 2 km. from the town centre. It is on low lying, level grass, bordered by a river, with trees and shrubs dotted around the 87 pitches. One corner of the site is particularly secluded, but the whole place has the feel of a peaceful garden. There is unfenced water on site and a footbridge over the river. The attractive main building houses reception, and a pleasant bistro and with a friendly, family atmosphere. The site no longer accepts tourers and offers glamping accommodation only.
Leisure activities could include walking or cycling and there is a fishing lake on site. Head a few kilometres west to Bouillon and you can visit its ruined castle and explore the attractive countryside with wooded hills, valleys and meandering rivers on which canoeing is popular. The war memorial and excellent museum at Bastogne to the north-east commemorate the Battle of the Bulge. There are caves in Han, Hotton and Remouchamps and the Euro Space Center in Transinne. For a taste of city life, Luxembourg is less than an hour’s drive down the motorway.
Toilet facilities in the central building and in a block at the end of the campsite are neat and clean with preset showers, open washbasins in main block, cubicles with shower and washbasin in the other block. Washing machine and dryer. Motorhome services. Small shop for basics (July/Aug). Bistro/bar and takeaway (April-Oct). Large inflatable pool (June-Sept). Tennis. Boules. Two playgrounds and playing field with volleyball court. Fishing. Mobile homes to rent. Free WiFi throughout.
Neufchâteau is just off E25/E411 Luxembourg/Liège/Brussels at exits 26-28. Site is 2 km. southwest of Neufchâteau on the N15 towards Florenville. There are three sites fairly close together, this is the last one on the left hand side.Link to campsite location map on google
