Alan Rogers Review
This family owned, attractively laid out touring park is on the east side of Edinburgh. It is a secluded, well kept modern park, conveniently situated for visits to Edinburgh, the Lothian and Borders regions. It has been carefully landscaped and there are many attractive plants, flowers and hedging. There are 120 individual pitches, 40 with hardstanding, for touring units of any type, well spaced out on gently sloping grass in groups of 12 or more, marked with white posts. All have electric hook-ups and 13 are fully serviced with water and waste water connections. Free space is left for play and recreation.
Twelve chalets are available to rent. Musselburgh centre is a mile and a half away, Edinburgh seven miles, with a frequent bus service to the latter.
Facilities
The two toilet blocks are clean, attractive, of ample size and can be heated. Free hot water to washbasins (one cabin for men, two for ladies in each block) and to showers and laundry sinks. Baby changing facilities. Laundry facilities in each block. Motorhome services. Well stocked, shop (gas available, bread and papers to order). Playground on sand. Excellent dog walk. Caravan storage. Security barrier with code access. No late night arrivals area. WiFi (charged). Bothy for hire.
Location
From Edinburgh follow A1 signs for Berwick-upon-Tweed for 6-7 miles. Turn off for Wallyford and follow camp and Mining Museum signs. From south follow A1 taking junction after Tranent village (A199 Musselburgh) and follow signs.
