This very attractive naturist site is situated in the rural lower ranges of the Pyrenees, in a wooded valley in the Albères. It occupies a large natural area (50 hectares) that includes a fast flowing small river and offers a choice of 200 good sized pitches on no less than eight separate terraces, all very natural. They are all slightly different in character; two for example are alongside the river, one is among fruit trees, another among vines. Electricity is available on five terraces, the others being more suitable for tents. The river provides an attractive waterfall and a deep pool for non-serious fishing.

This is one of a small number of very attractive, unspoilt naturist sites located in beautiful, wild countryside. Unusually this site still requires naturist pass-cards which are available on site.

Facilities at Domaine Naturiste la Clapère

Three modern sanitary blocks of unusual design provide good facilities. The first block is heated by solar panels, so if the weather is not so good, the water is cooler. Toilets are both British and squat style, showers open plan. Accessible facilities, Washing machines in one block. Small, well stocked shop. Bar and terrace with views of the Pyrenees. Restaurant (incl. gourmet menu) and takeaway (all 15/5 -15/9). Large swimming pool, smaller children’s pool, and ample paved sunbathing areas. Good playground. Table tennis, boules and volleyball. Tennis (charged). Fishing. Organised rambles.

Directions to Domaine Naturiste la Clapère

Take last autoroute (A9) exit before Spain (Boulou exit). Leave Boulou on N9 towards Le Perthus for 3 km. Turn right onto N618 to Maureillas-las-Illas, then D13 (Las Illas/Riunoguès) to site (2 km). Uphill winding road little narrow in parts. Site entrance on right.
