This is a charming site set in the grounds of a Medieval Napoleon lll chateau amidst a peaceful 4 hectare park, you are assured of a very warm welcome here. There are 50 medium-sized, level or gently sloping pitches, separated by hedges with a variety of trees giving some shade. Most have 6A electricity (long leads advised) with water taps nearby. There is a large chalet and mobile homes for hire, and bed and breakfast is also available. The site has a pleasant swimming pool, paddling pool, fitness room and games/TV room. The bar and restaurant have a sunny terrace overlooking the château. Minigolf, swings, slides and an area for ball games are adjacent.

The site is a delightfully peaceful spot from which to visit the châteaux at Chinon, Loches, Villandry or Azay-le-Rideau, and the villages of Richelieu and Crissay-sur-Manse. There are many interesting excursions to beautiful gardens and grottos and you should find time to enjoy the local gastronomy and wines. In July and August, there is an interesting programme of activities aimed at families with younger children.

The older style toilet block provides good facilities with modern showers, washbasin and laundry areas. Accessible facilities. Small shop for basics. Bar with terrace. Snacks and takeaway (July/Aug). Swimming pool (from 15/5). Minigolf. Play area. Fitness room. TV lounge. WiFi.

Location

Trogues is 40 km. southwest of Tours on the D760 Loches-Chinon road. Site is on D760, midway between Trogues and A10 (exit 25). Entrance is signed and marked by a model of the château.
