After years of experience in the camping industry, Barbara and Pieter Witschge have built their dream – Tenuta Squaneto, natural camping with brilliant facilities. Its location is deep in the countryside with no villages, shops or restaurants in the immediate area. The 72 grassy, level touring pitches (100-120 sq.m) have wonderful views and 35 have water, wastewater and TV connections. There are also 15 Lodgetents for rental.

The site is in a small valley with trees all around, there is a river to walk along, fish or simply swim and play in. A lovely lake is central to the site and the nearby swimming pool is stunning with a large whirlpool and a children’s shallow play pool with wonderful frogs and turtles that spray water.

Tenuta Squaneto is a tranquil site; background noise comes mainly from insects and birds. Barbara and Pieter aim to keep it this way. The huge pitches and scale of the site will allow campers the freedom to watch the amazing wildlife and relax in peace. The area has beautiful birds, deer, huge frogs and fireflies; there are lovely rivers and many beautiful walks. A local chef has been appointed to cook foods of the region, the menu changes weekly, and a selection of local wines is available. The experience here is about the beauty of the setting and how good it is to be in harmony with nature. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and it is hard to imagine anyone not embracing the experience at Tenuta Squaneto.

Two modern sanitary blocks offer full and luxurious facilities including Accessible facilities. Some pitches have private facilities including cooker, fridge and luxury facilities (small extra daily charge). Fresh bread is available to order. Quality restaurant and bar. Attractive swimming pool and paddling pool. Large children’s play area. Beach volleyball. Barbecues are allowed subject to local restrictions. Cooking groups in low season, weekly wine tastings. River swimming. WiFi in reception (free).

Directions to Camping Tenuta Squaneto

From north (Milan) take A7 for Genova then A21 towards Torino and the exit for Alessandria South. Take R30 to Acqui Terme and then Sivona. Site is signed at 25 km. on R30 at Spigno Monferrato. Follow site signs and after 7 km. turn right for a further 5 km, through village of Squaneto. Do not use sat nav after Spigno Monferrato.
