Alan Rogers Review
Sanssouci is a good, if rather expensive, base for visiting Potsdam and Berlin. It lies about 2 km. from Sanssouci Park on the banks of the Templiner See, in a quiet woodland setting. Looking attractive, reflecting the effort which has been put into its development, it has a modern reception, shop, takeaway, restaurant and bar. There are 240 pitches in total with 170 for touring; all have 6-16A electricity, and many also have their own water tap and drainage. Tall trees mark out these pitches. There is a separate area for tents by the lake.
Sanitary facilities are in two modern, heated blocks containing hot showers, washbasins in cabins and facilities for babies. Useful facility for wheelchair users. Bathrooms to rent. Laundry. Gas supplies. Kitchen. Motorhome services. Shop. Restaurant/bar. Swimming and sailing in the lake. Wellness. Rowing boats, motorboats, canoes and pedaloes for hire. Fishing. Play area. Bicycle hire (E-bikes on request). Hairdresser. Internet café and WiFi throughout (charged). Public transport tickets and discounts for Berlin attractions.
From A10 take exit 22 (Gross Kreutz) and follow the B1 towards Potsdam. After ca 10 km. (Zeppelinstrasse through woodland) turn right just after the Potsdam sign and before the railway bridge, then follow camping signs.Link to campsite location map on google
