Alan Rogers Review
Pyrénées Natura, at an altitude of 1,000 m. on the edge of the national park, is the perfect site for lovers of nature. The 66 pitches (47 for tourers), all with electricity (3-10A), are in a landscaped area with 75 varieties of trees and shrubs – but they do not spoil the fantastic views. A traditional-style building houses the reception, bar and indoor games/reading room. There is a small, well stocked shop in the former watermill. Prices are very reasonable and homemade bread can be purchased. On the river there is a small beach belonging to the site for supervised water play. You can discover the countryside on foot, bicycle or mountain bike and discover the extraordinary sites such as Pic du Midi, le cirque de Gavarnie, Pont d’Espagne, and not forgetting the Hautacam, Col de Tourmalet, Soulor, Aubisque - as seen in the Tour de France.
The owners aim is that you return home feeling at peace with the world and having learnt something about the area and its flora and fauna, especially the birds which soar above the site. Pyrénées Natura belongs to the prestigious Via Natura group of 17 campsites in France, committed to eco-tourism principles.

Owners of large outfits should be aware of the narrow roads with bends and few passing places. It is advisable not to approach the site from the west via Col D'Aubisque This route is not suitable for caravans or large motorhomes.Link to campsite location map on google
