The island of Evia could easily be mistaken for part of the mainland, given that it is connected to Attica by two bridges and several ferries. It is, however, the second-largest Greek Island, Crete being that much bigger. Camping Milos is situated on the coast, just over 1.5 km. west of Eretria and provides 100 pitches. Forty touring pitches provide space for caravans and motorhomes under screens of varying heights.

This campsite is the perfect place to wake up with a coffee at the bar and enjoy a cocktail or two in the sun after cooling off in the campsite's pool. Evening entertainment, such as live shows and dance parties, is held here during the summer. The campsite beach is around 200 metres long and has spectacular views of the Euboean Gulf. If you wish, you can take your boat with you as a boat launch is available on the beach. The area around Chalkida is bustling and is a popular seaside resort for the Greeks from Athens and its suburbs.

For cultural visits the ancient theatre of Eretria is top of the list of places to see. It is located in central Evia and is the most impressive of ancient Eretria’s monuments. The fact that the structure was built on an artificial hill rather than an existing hillside is remarkable and surprising. During its heyday, the theatre could seat 6,300 people.

Directions to Camping Milos

From Chalkida follow signs for Eretria or South Evia down the coastal road. Site is on the right before Eretria, 20 km. south of Chalkida. From the ferry (Oropos-Eretria) leave the dock, go through the town and join the main road north to site on the left after 2 km.
