Its location on the Atlantic coast, 600 m. from a lovely sandy beach, makes this site extremely popular. Set in ten hectares of heavily wooded sand dunes, the site is quite hilly with 550 pitches (200 for touring units) set amongst pine trees, with areas for peace and quiet and areas for those who want to be close to the facilities. Some pitches are quite spacious, some level and others requiring blocks. There is a large swimming pool complex, a bar and soundproofed disco. A welcoming reception completes a pleasant entrance courtyard with shops in high season, and there are many mobile homes available for rent.

Lacanau-Océan has many weekend visitors from Bordeaux and is popular for surfing. There is a surf school in high season.

Two modern sanitary blocks are well equipped and include facilities for children, babies and accessible facilities. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Large supermarket. Directions to L'Océan Airotel Camping & Spa

From Bordeaux take the N215/D106 then the D3 to Lacanau-Océan. At roundabout before village turn right and site is 800 m. on the right.
