Camping Mario is a family site near the Lake Caldonazzo, one of the most attractive small Italian lakes where swimming, fishing and other water-based activities can be enjoyed. The 157 grassy touring pitches (60-150 sq.m) have 6/16A electricity and a further 41 also have water and drainage. The accommodations (57 Mobile homes) are also available for rent. There is a large new heated swimming pool with a new bar/pizzeria/restaurant and terrace adjacent and new play areas for children. There is also a well stocked mini market. This region is popular for mountain sports, particularly mountain biking, walking, trekking and rafting.

The village of Caldonazzo is less than two kilometres from the site. It’s a pretty place with a good selection of shops, cafés and restaurants. The nearest large town is Pergine, eight kilometres away. Further afield, day trips to Verona (120 km) Venice (150 km) and are feasible (also by train). The Trentino is well known for its fine gastronomy and excellent wines. A number of renowned restaurants are close at hand, notably in Trento (25 km). The receptionists will be pleased to make recommendations. The nearby Acropark Rio Centa is a popular children’s adventure park.

Facilities

Two well maintained toilet blocks provide all the usual facilities including an area for children and two rooms for disabled visitors (key access). Caravan services (6-16A). Mini market selling fresh bread. Bar. Restaurant/pizzeria. Heated swimming pool (up to 28°) with two depths, beach with whirlpool and waterslide. Sun beds and sun umbrella (free of charge). New play areas. Bicycle hire. Accommodations to rent.

Location

Leave the A22 motorway at Trento Nord and follow SS47 towards Padova. After passing Pergine Valsugana, follow signs to Calceranica/Caldonazzo. After Caldonazzo railway station turn left and after the level crossing, turn left again towards the lake and the site is well signed.
