This is a large site, near the Main river to the west of Würzburg, the home of Franconian wine. With some 150 pitches for touring (out of 350) the site provides good facilities in a quiet and peaceful location. It is a good spot for walks and cycle rides around the local vineyards and along the banks of the Main. All pitches have electricity (6-10A) and 65 super pitches provide electricity, water, and drainage. The site is very busy in the high season and, as you would expect, provides a variety of entertainment for young and old. Helpful reception staff speak English.

Würzburg is about 30 minutes away by car with a variety of museums and the Alte Mainbrücke – the oldest bridge across the Main built 1473-1543. There are also opportunities for boat trips along the river.

Excellent sanitary facilities in three modern blocks include individual cabins, free showers, and Accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Shop (1/4-1/10). Restaurant and bar (all year) also serves takeaway. Active holiday club provides a variety of activities for younger campers (July/Aug). WiFi (charged).

Directions to Camping Main Spessart Park

From A3 exit 65 follow road towards Marktheidenfeld as far as Altfeld then drive to Trefenstein-Lengfurt. From there follow ST2299 northwest alongside River Main. About 1 km. after the locks, site is on left up the hill.
