Alan Rogers Review of Camping Le Paradis de Bazas
In a rural position, where the owners stated philosophy of tranquillity is realised. At present, there are only five grass pitches for touring units, up to 200 sq.m. Separated by flowering shrubs and bushes, all have electricity (6A), water and drainage. A further 39 pitches are available for tents. Reception facilities and a bar are in a very tastefully converted old barn, where you may have breakfast or collect bread. There is a traffic free footpath from the site to the town, which we can recommend. A new cycle path runs from Bazas to the Atlantic coast (on 80 km. of old railway track).
The fortified town is notable for the magnificent Cathedral (illuminated at night), the annual festival of the Bazardais cattle, the bonfires of Saint Jean, and the weekly Saturday market, and is on the Pilgrim Route to Santiago de Compostella.

Small, high quality toilet block. Accessible Facilities. Baby room. Washing machine and dryer. Motorhome services. Bar (all season) Restaurant/takeaway (July/Aug). New swimming pool with large slide and paddling pool. Sunbathing area. Small playground. Boules. Minigolf. Bicycle hire. Free WiFi on part of site.
Directions to Camping Le Paradis de Bazas
From Bazas centre take the D655 east towards Casteljaloux, and the site entrance is 1 km. on your right at the top of the hill (well signed). Take care not to use the road leading to the château.
