Camping Le Grand Pré is near Saint-Pierre-de-Maillé, Vienne, Poitou-Charentes between ancient cliffs and the Gartempe river. A 10-minute stroll will take you to the little village of Saint-Pierre-de-Maillé, home to a restaurant, café and grocery store and off course a baker. Should you require further urban amenities, there are more restaurants (along with some scenic woods and river views) in Angles-sur-l’Anglin, 10 minutes away by car. A bit further afield, it's around 20 minutes' drive to historic wanderings through the medieval streets of Chauvigny or, if you are into climbing, the site is 10 minutes' drive from the popular rock-climbing site of La Guignoterie. There are ample cycling routes from the site. The pitches are spacious, and you can choose where you would like to pitch up. There isn’t any Wi-Fi. Facilities on site are kept to a minimum to maintain the peaceful vibe, but there's plenty of space for children to run about, and various useful amenities to make life easy, bike hire, canoe hire, a barbecue area and a small shop. The site has 5 TiPi and caravans available to hire.

Directions to Camping Le Grand Pre

From the A10/E5 at junction 26 join the D161. Next join the D725 in the direction of La Roche- Posey. In La Roche- Posey join the D5 to Vicq-sur-Gartempe and join the D11 towards Saint Pierre-de-Maillé. The site is then on the eft just before you reach the town.
