Alan Rogers Review
Bordered by the Moselle river, surrounded by the mountains of the Vosges and located just off the town square, this site is open all year making it a good base from which to explore in summer, and ideal for skiing in winter, when you might be tempted to rent one of the 40 chalets. Domaine de Champé is a level site with 80 touring pitches, all with 4/12A electricity, spread over a fairly large area on both sides of a tributary stream, so some are quite a distance from the facilities. There are two heated pools, one large outside and a smaller one inside. The village boasts a Theatre of the People, founded in 1895, giving shows in July and August. The Casino is open all year and is very popular.
Mulhouse, famous for printed fabrics and its August jazz festival and one of the largest car museums in the world, is only half an hour away. A further half hour takes you to Basel in Switzerland. Locally, there are mountains to climb, walk up or drive and many routes for keen cyclists. The site itself organises and escorts some walks and cycle outings in high season. There is a para-gliding school nearby and all ages can have a go, sometimes there are up to 20 in the air at a time.
One new, large sanitary building has all the necessary accessible facilities. Motorhome services. Bar and restaurant (all year), takeaway (high season). Swimming pools (outdoor 1/5-30/9, indoor all year). Wellness centre (charged) including sauna, hammam and relaxation room. Tennis. Two large play areas. Electric bike hire. Internet access. WiFi in parts (charged).
Bussang is midway between Remiremont and Mulhouse on N66, almost due north of Belfort. Site is signed from the town centre.Link to campsite location map on google
