This popular site is in a quiet location with fantastic views of the dramatic mountains of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. Neat, orderly and well-maintained, the site is situated in a wide valley just 1 km. from Lake Thun and 1.5 km. from the centre of Interlaken. The English-speaking owners lovingly care for the site and will endeavour to make you feel very welcome.

Connected by gravel roads, the 155 pitches, of which 90 are for touring units, are on well-tended level grass (seven with hardstanding, all with 10A electricity). There are also 30 pitches with water and wastewater drainage. This is a quiet, friendly site, popular with British visitors who return year after year.

The owners go out of their way to advise on local trips and excursions (the Visitor Pass gives free travel on local transport). Always looking to improve their site, they have added ‘igloo pods’ for rent (including their romantic Love Igloos for 2 - perfect for honeymooners and romantics), a sauna and a hot tub, and the swimming pool has been relined with the latest hygienic polymer. At Lazy Rancho, you can sit and enjoy the scenery or use it as a base for exploring the spectacular features of the Bernese Oberland.

Two good sanitary blocks are both heated with free hot showers, good accessible facilities and a baby room. Laundry. Campers’ kitchen with microwave, cooker, fridge and utensils. Motorhome services. Well-stocked shop. TV and games room. Play area. Small swimming pool, sauna and hot tub (all season). Wooden igloo pods, XL-igloos, Love-igloo and bungalows for rent. Internet/laptop room. WiFi throughout (free).

Directions to Camping Lazy Rancho

Site is on north side of Lake Thun. From road 8 (Thun-Interlaken) on south side of lake take exit 24 Interlaken West. Follow towards lake at roundabout then follow signs for campsites. Lazy Rancho is Camp no. 4. The last 500 m. is a little narrow but no problem.
