The 4-star Camping Dornbirn was completely rebuilt in 2019. The infrastructure is architecturally innovative, state-of-the-art and sustainably made from local wood. The location in the middle of nature and yet close to the city centre is almost unique.This site is just outside the town, next to the municipal swimming pool complex, and the enthusiastic Dutch owners give a very warm welcome that makes this a very pleasant place to stay. The site is bisected by the unfenced River Enz, which is little more than a stream at this point. The site has 120 pitches (35 are seasonal). The section nearest the road is occupied by 35 long stay units. The other half, on the other side of the river with its own access road, is solely for tourers. This has 85 very large, open grass pitches, all with electricity (16A), of which 20 are fully serviced with water and drainage.

Reception keeps basic supplies, but there is a supermarket only 1.5 km. towards the town via a traffic free path/cycleway which runs along the route of the old railway line for 5 km, passing the site. At the end of June each year, on a Sunday, 38 km. of road between Arzfeld, through Neuerburg and Sinspelt to Irrel is closed to motorised traffic. Known as the Süd Eifel Tour, only pedestrians, cyclists, wheelchair users, roller-bladers etc. are allowed to enjoy this traffic-free situation (avoid arrival or departure on this day).

The toilet block of very high quality is fully equipped and has some washbasins in cabins and controllable hot showers (charged). Accessible facilities. Chemical toilet point. Baby room. Kitchen. Laundry with washing machine and dryer. Heated outdoor swimming pool (May-Sept). Takeaway. Wi-Fi throughout (free). Lounge to chill, read and play. Breakfast from 8 - 11 o'clock. Bar. Restaurant. Snack bar. Children's playground. Table tennis. Dogs allowed. Security barrier. Shop 1km.

Directions to Camping In der Enz

Site is 15 km. northwest of Bitburg. From A60 (E29) take exit 6 and head south to Bitburg, then take road 50 west to Sinspelt. Finally turn north for 6 km. to Neuerburg, pass through town and follow camping signs to site 1.5 km. north of the town. N.B. you are required to purchase a vignette for your car or motorhome if you plan to use the Austrian motorways.
