Camping Ferrer is just 800 metres from the Old Town of Peñiscola and 500 metres from the famous south beach. In short, you’ll have everything on your doorstep. On site there’s plenty for all the family: swimming pool, playground, bar-restaurant and some activities in high season. Pitches are level and grassy, with welcome shade, and there are timber chalets available to rent.
The campsite is a great base for getting to know this popular, sunny region and the town of Peñiscola in particular. Shops and amenities are all close at hand and, being in the town centre, you won’t be short of places to explore. The 13th century castle is one of the Knights Templars’ most important bastions and the Artillery Park is interesting for its ancient fortifications and more recent palms, olives trees and lavender. For a taste of nature, head to the Sierra de Irta nature reserve, a protected enclave running 20 km along the coast. Here you can hike along cliffs, beaches and creeks amid an unspoilt, building-free landscape.
