Alan Rogers Review
The beautiful, pine-clad hills surrounding Camping Familial in every direction in which a visitor might care to look, makes it an ideal destination for those who want to walk or cycle along wooded tracks or specially built cycle tracks, away from traffic or built-up areas. The ‘Ravel’ track, running West to East passes within four kilometres of the campsite and offers the possibility to experience this most unspoiled landscape first-hand.
The owners, who live on-site all year, have added glamping accommodation, built a modern sanitary block and provided hardstanding for motorhomes. During the summer season, activities for all the family, including supervised archery, an outdoor pool and boulodrome, are available for those choosing not to leave the site. 65 touring pitches, mostly grassy, offer partial shade and all have electric hook-ups.
There are two sanitary blocks containing showers (token available from reception and charged), WC, baby changing and bathing room, dishwashing and laundry facilities. A communal barbecue area with seating is available to all campers. The shop is well-stocked with basic necessities, bread to order and a book exchange. The bar/restaurant serves meals to eat-in or take-away and offers visitors views out across the pool and landscape beyond.
