Alan Rogers Review of Camping Du Nord

Camping Du Nord is a family run campsite with friendly Dutch owners. It is located in the beautiful wooded valley of Bourscheid/Goebelsmühle. It has a long season, open from April until the end of October. There are just over 100 reasonably level, unmarked pitches, many with little shade, including about 30 long stay or accommodation pitches.

All pitches have 10A Europlug. They are laid out in a sunny, grassy meadow along the banks of the shallow River Sûre. This is an ideal place to cool off on a hot day, bathing, fishing, messing around in small boats or having a drink in the small bar/restaurant.

The site is close to the small village of Ingeldorf which has public transport to the capital. It is only 420 km. from Calais and 360 km. from Amsterdam, making it an ideal overnight or longer stay site.

There are many wonderful hiking and biking trails in the area and, from ‘point de vue Gringlay’, there are magnificent views of the castle and the campsite in the valley below. Though the campsite is in a very quiet region some family activities, such as a children’s club and barbecues are organised on-site.

Facilities at Camping Du Nord

There are a number of modern toilet blocks with all the necessary facilities. Washing machine and dryer. Bread delivery. Small bar, restaurant and takeaway. Club for children and some family entertainment (July/Aug). Small playground. Volleyball. Walking and hiking maps. WiFi throughout (charged).

Directions to Camping Du Nord

From Ettelbruck, take N7. At roundabout take 2nd exit onto N27. Turn left onto CR308. Follow signs to Bourscheid Moulin. Cross over bridge and site is signed to left. Follow co-ordinates, not address or postcode.
