Alan Rogers Review of Camping Bel Air
Camping Bel Air is located in a quiet suburb of Pornichet, just 50 metres from a sandy beach. There are 80 touring pitches with a further 180 pitches for owner-occupier mobile homes and others to rent. The site extends over several hectares and the many trees and shrubs ensure some tranquil areas in what is a busy campsite in high season. The pitches are generally of a good size, sandy and well shaded. They are located on a lower section of the site, which, although bordered by a road, is quite peaceful. Access to this part of the site is quite steep. On the higher part, there is space for nine motorhomes.
La Baule boasts one of Europe’s finest beaches and is one of France’s premier seaside resorts with everything for a beach holiday, chic shops and restaurants specialising in seafood. Heading north, the medieval town of Guérande is a delight, particularly on market days. Beyond Guérande, La Grande Brière is a fascinating area of slow moving waterways and marshlands, best discovered by canoe or punt. Pornichet is an attractive resort with its own casino, race course and marina, as well as many cafés and restaurants.

Directions to Camping Bel Air
Approaching from the east (St Nazaire) on D213 (towards La Baule), take D392 to Pornichet and then follow signs to Ste Marguerite and the campsite.
