Le Vivier is a member of the Campéole group and can be found 2 km. from the seaside resort of Biscarrosse-Plage. The nearest beach is 800 m. away and the crashing Atlantic breakers can be heard on site. The touring pitches (437) are located amongst the towering pine trees and around half have electrical connections. Mobile homes, chalets and equipped tents (400) are available for rent (including specially adapted units for wheelchair users). Although close to the beach, there is a large swimming pool on site and other sports amenities include volleyball, basketball and tennis. This large, lively site in high season has plenty going on, including discos and karaoke evenings, as well as sports tournaments.

The Arcachon Basin is easily accessible to the north, as well as the Dune de Pyla, Europe’s highest sand dune and the Aqualand water theme park. Another popular day trip could be the great city of Bordeaux, accessible within an hour’s drive. Closer to the site, there are miles of cycle trails through the forest and bikes can be hired on site. Riding is also popular – there are stables close to Biscarrosse.

Head south from Arcachon on D218 passing the Dune de Pyla and continue to Biscarrosse-Plage. The site is well signed from here.
