Alan Rogers Review of Widdicombe Farm Tourist Park

Widdicombe Farm is an adults only park, just three miles from Torquay and with easy access from the A380, well situated for the Torbay area. There are 200 numbered pitches, all with 10A electricity of which most have hardstanding and 48 are fully serviced. Situated on a hillside and surrounded by farmland, the pitches are on terraces with open views across the countryside. Many trees have been planted and there are tarmac access roads and steps linking the terraces. There may be some background traffic noise but it is not too intrusive. Touring areas are separated into sections for couples, tent campers, etc.

The park has been owned and run for over 40 years by the Glynn family. Gordon often serves in the large comfortable bar and may even sing for you with his wife Thelma. Lizzie, their daughter, will be found in reception. The site has a relaxed, friendly feel and entertainment is provided in the bar (either singers or comedy acts). A very pleasant little restaurant provides home cooked food.

Facilities at Widdicombe Farm Tourist Park

Three toilet blocks are kept very clean. The original block by reception has recently been refurbished and includes accessible facilities and laundry room. Shop and ‘Poppy’ restaurant (evening meals, breakfasts, cream teas and takeaway) and bar with singers and comedy acts (Easter, then Spring B.H-mid Sept). Certain breeds of dog are not accepted. Caravan storage. Minibus to the town can be booked if there are 10 persons. WiFi over site (charged).
