Villaggio Barricata is a pleasant site located within the large nature reserve at the mouth of the Po Delta. A drive through many rows of mobile homes brings you to 70 touring pitches, all with 6A electricity and water connections, and protected in the main by expensive artificial shading. On-site amenities are impressive and include a fabulous swimming pool complex, a bar/restaurant and a well stocked supermarket. A lively entertainment and activity programme is on offer during the peak season, including a children’s club. A short walk leads to a long, gently shelving sandy beach.

The Po Delta is a fascinating place to explore with miles of cycle tracks and footpaths. At the southern end of the delta, the ancient lighthouse of Goro is well worth seeing. Porto Garibaldi is a lively resort with many shops, cafés and restaurants, and, somewhat further afield, Ravenna to the south and Venice to the north both make excellent day trips. The busy harbour of Bonelli is just opposite the site entrance.

Directions to Villaggio Barricata

Site is in the Parco del Delta del Po. Approaching from the A13 (Bologna-Padova), take Monselice exit and join the SP104 to Monselice Mare. Then join the SS309 Romea-Venice road to Porto Tolle exit, and follow signs to Porto Tolle then Scardovari. Site is well signed from here.
