Le Hameau de l’Ocean is a holiday village comprising 42 holiday apartments on a two hectare site. Please note – there are no touring pitches here. Accommodation is provided in fully equipped, attractively presented apartments. The complex can be found 900 m. from St. Hilaire’s fine Atlantic beaches and is open throughout the year. Leisure facilities here include a covered swimming pool, mini golf, short court tennis and cycle hire. Bread can be ordered at reception. An activity and entertainment programme is organised in high season, including a children’s club, various sports competitions and evening entertainment.
The nearest beach (Parée Préneau) is superb, a great stretch of golden sand. A cycle track runs through the forest, close to the site and is a great way to explore the area. To the north, St. Jean de Monts is a major resort, with a broad range of amenities, including a casino and plenty of shops and restaurants. St. Gilles, to the south, still retains its ambience of a fishing village, and also has a number of excellent sea food restaurants on offer.

Approaching from the north (St. Jean de Monts) take the southbound D38 towards St. Gilles Croix-de-Vie and follow signs to St. Hilaire de Riez. The site can be found at La Parée Préneau, and is clearly signposted from St Hilaire.
