Alan Rogers Review
As soon as you enter this site you will notice the unusual, wine-barrel shaped wooden cabins which are located next to 50 camping pitches for touring units. Camping Vetsi Tall was once an orchard and the pitches are arranged between low fruit trees that provide some shade. They are on well kept grass in long rows and include two pitches with 10A electricity. The toilet facilities are rather basic, and we see this as a stopover rather than a long stay site.
At the front of the site is the Vetsi Talli Tavern which also houses the campsite reception. The tavern occupies a beautifully restored 18th-century barn and offers good quality meals and drinks. Hiiumaa is the second largest island in Estonia and offers excellent opportunities for cycling and watersports, as well as beautiful surroundings.
Two toilet blocks, one recently renovated and two private two cabins with washbasin and shower. Cleaning variable. Sauna. Open-air grill. Bar/restaurant. Bicycle rental, Some English spoken.
From the ferry port in Heltermaa, take the 83 road south towards Käina. Turn left 3 km. before Käina towards Kassari. Drive into Kassari and site is signed to the right after 300 m.Link to campsite location map on google
