Alan Rogers Review

This site can boast some of the most dramatic views of any site in the country, overlooking Bossiney Cove and beyond to the ever changing seascape of the Atlantic Ocean. Vans can be positioned either front or back first, ensuring your own panoramic (and occasionally wild and windy) view. The 146 open pitches (most with 16A electricity) are well laid out and of a good size, some on slightly sloping ground (levelling blocks may be required). They are mainly on grass, but 69 are hardstanding. The whole site has the well tended appearance that one associates with the Caravan Club. Trewethett Farm will particularly suit those who are looking to experience the landscape of the Cornish coastline and who enjoy the open air.

The coastal path runs alongside the site and both Boscastle and Tintagel are accessible on foot. There is a footpath to the beach below but the descent is challenging and could be difficult for small children. Polzeath beach is within ten miles and is a popular choice for families. The site is also very well located as a base for exploring North Cornwall with Rock, Padstow and the Camel estuary not too far away.

Two modern sanitary blocks (closed 10.30-12.00), but one is only opened in high season. Facilities are of a very high standard with good sized showers and washbasins in cubicles. Facilities for babies (key) and disabled visitors. Laundry. Motorcaravan services. Small shop in reception. Play area. WiFi over site (charged).
