The 1,200-acre Strathclyde Country Park is a large green area less than 15 miles from the centre of Glasgow. This Caravan and Motorhome Club site features 107 all-weather, large, flat hardstanding pitches (some seasonal) all with 16 amp electricity. There are 12 serviced pitches. Space for 45 tents (seasonal), all off tarmac roads. The warden’s accommodation and toilet blocks are attractively clad in wood to blend in with their surroundings. This site is suitable as a stopover or for a longer holiday (max. 21 days) and it is ideal as a base for visiting the numerous attractions in and around Glasgow. As the site is close to the motorway, there may be some traffic noise.

The country park is a ten-minute walk and provides nature trails, an adventure play area, sandy beaches and coarse fishing. In addition, there is a large water sports centre offering sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing, canoeing, rowing (all with craft for hire), a water bus, a selection of family fun boats, plus Scotland’s own theme park nearby. There are also several sites of historic interest within the park itself.

Directions to Strathclyde Country Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

From the North on the M74: turn off at Junction 5 (signposted A725 Edinburgh and Strathclyde Country Park). At the roundabout take the second exit, towards Strathclyde Country Park, then take first left. The site entrance is in approximately 180 metres, on the left. From the South on M74 take Junction 5 signposted A725. At the roundabout the the 5th left to Strathclyde County Park, then take the 1st left. The site entrance is on the left in approximately 180 metres. Please Note: The site is no longer accessible from the M74 Junction 6, as the park road off the A723 is now a no-through road.
