Alan Rogers Review
White Water Park Caravan and Motorhome Club site is adjacent to the multi-million pound development at the Tees Barrage, this pleasantly landscaped site caters for all tastes, especially watersports enthusiasts. The Tees Barrage has transformed 11 miles of the Tees, providing clean, non-tidal water for many activities. The site itself provides 97 hardstanding pitches, all with 16 amp electricity connections, and includes 21 fully serviced pitches set within bays and hedges (fresh water and waste disposal). This is a neat and well maintained site with good lighting and a security barrier. The adjoining White-Water Course (Britain’s largest purpose-built canoe course) provides facilities for both advanced and beginner canoeists, and hosts major national and international events.
There are pleasant walks through the adjacent nature reserve wetlands (home to a variety of birds) and along the riverside. Local attractions within ten miles include the famous transporter bridge across the Tees and the Hartlepool Maritime Experience. Teesside Park is within easy reach of White Water Park Club Site and is a shopper's paradise with restaurants, multi-screen cinema complex and bowling alley. Birdwatchers, wildlife enthusiasts and walkers will also be spoilt for choice with over 30 miles of coastline a short drive away. There are numerous tiny fishing villages, traditional holiday resorts and dramatic cliffs to experience, with all the fantastic views you might imagine from such attractions. There is a Beefeater within walking distance and just outside the site is the local pub
