Camping le Clos Fleuri really does live up to its name. The profusion of different trees and the lawns and flower beds give this small site a very rural atmosphere. There is always a warm welcome from the Devais family who created this pretty site in 1974. The 103 touring pitches are mostly of generous size (a little uneven in places). They vary from being in full sun to well shaded and the majority have 5/10A electricity connections. The bar/restaurant is a converted barn providing a cool haven on hot days and a very convivial venue for evening gatherings and entertainment. The season here is short and services are only fully open in the height of the summer.

The surrounding countryside is very pleasant with crops of sunflowers, wheat and maize, while beaches of all sorts are within easy reach. All in all le Clos Fleuri combines a great deal of charm, beauty and friendliness with a location from which the attractions of the Charente-Maritime may be discovered. There is occasional noise from light aircraft, but this does not detract from the peaceful ambience on site.

Toilet facilities are kept clean. One block is segregated male and female, the other is unisex with each unit in its own cubicle. Accessible facilities. Baby baths. Laundry facilities. Basic motorhome services. Small unheated pool and paddling pool. Sauna. Shop (10/7-15/9). Restaurant, bar and takeaway (10/7-30/8). In high season there are twice-weekly soirées and boules and archery competitions. Trampoline. Minigolf. WiFi on part of site (free). Large units should call in high season to check there is space.

Médis is on the N150 from Saintes, halfway between Saujon and Royan. Drive into village. Site signed to south at various points in Médis and is 2 km. outside village.
