Camping Simmerwille is a site in Friesland near the village of Eernewoude / Earnewâld between the water sports area Princenhof and the “It Fryske Gea” nature reserve of. If you do book a visit to the site it is certainly worthwhile renting a canoe, rowing boat or pedal boat so that you can sail through the national park the 'Alde Feanen'. You will of course also be able to sail through beautifully narrow ditches from one lake to another. The site also rents luxury sloops with steering wheel, hood and diesel engine.

If you can sail, then a sailing trip to Grou via the Veenhoop is great fun and easy to do in a day. If you want to walk, you can take several hiking trails. For example, a visit to the stork colony is also highly recommended. For cyclists this nature reserve has endless cycling routes. The site has 50 grass touring pitches with electric hook-up pint 10/6 amp. Mobile homes available to rent.

Directions to Simmerwille Camping & Pension

From the E22/A7 at the Drachten intersection take the N31 in the direction of De Tike and Garyp. At the Garyp junction bear right to loop back on yourself and go through two roundabouts and after the second one, go ahead to the T junction and turn left. Keep ahead on this road and the site is on your right.
