The Zeller See, delightfully situated in the south of Salzburg province and near the start of the Grossglocknerstrasse, is ideally placed for enjoying the splendid southern Austrian countryside. Seecamp is right by the water, less than two kilometres from the town of Zell and with fine views to the south end of the lake.
Stretching along the waterfront, the site has 160 good level, mainly grass-on-gravel pitches of average size, 147 with 16A electricity. About half have water, drainage and TV connections. Units can be close together in peak season. Good English is spoken.
A large, modern building in the centre, houses the amenities. The lake is accessible for watersports, including windsurfing, canoeing and sailing schools. An activity programme for adults includes rafting, canoeing, mountain biking, water-skiing and hiking.
Campers have free entry to the lakeside facilities, the local indoor pool and the ice-skating rink. All in all, this is a splendid site for a relaxing or active holiday.
