Alan Rogers Review of Sandaway Beach Holiday Park
Sandaway Beach is set in a commanding position on the beautiful North Devon coast and is close to the charming fishing village of Combe Martin. The town is on the western edge of Exmoor National Park. The park has 110 pitches, 20 of which are for touring on sloping, uneven grass. They are small and unmarked with 10A electricity. There are also two fields for tents at the far end of the park with wonderful coastal views. Families will enjoy exploring the wild coast with its small coves and rocky cliffs, some of which are accessible from the park.
The park is on a hillside with a steep, terraced area for the holiday homes. A small private beach is accessed through the camping fields. The South West Coastal Path goes past the park and there are many other hiking and walking paths in the area.
Facilities at Sandaway Beach Holiday Park
The single toilet block is downhill from the touring field and may pose access problems for those with mobility issues. There are clean hot showers and two private cubicles. The tent areas have their own toilets. Shop. Bar, restaurant and takeaway. Heated outdoor pool with views to the coast. Enclosed play area. Kids’ club. Free WiFi on part of site.

From A361 turn north at South Molton onto the A399 towards Ilfracombe and Combe Martin. Drive through Combe Martin and up steep hill towards Ilfracombe. Park is on the right side 1 mile out of town.
