The pretty, tree-lined approach to Riverside leads into an attractive park, owned by the Marshall family since the late 1960s. Nestling in beautiful countryside, alongside the River Wenning, the park has easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. For touring units there are 12 fully serviced pitches, 15 on hardstanding and 30 grass pitches. All have 16A electricity and TV hook-ups. An area has been developed for 50 seasonal pitches on gravel. Located away from the touring area are 206 privately owned holiday homes. Tents are not accepted. The smart reception building includes a small shop selling caravan accessories.

A new building opposite houses an excellent laundry and a library with Internet access and WiFi, a wide variety of books and local tourist literature. The Forest of Bowland is on the doorstep providing endless opportunities for walking and sightseeing in pretty villages. The small town of High Bentham is an easy walk from the park, and the local railway station links to the very scenic Settle to Carlisle railway. A member of the Best of British group.

The modern toilet block with underfloor heating is centrally situated. Washbasins in cubicles. Unisex showers in a separate area. Accessible Toilet and shower room (Radar key). Family shower/bathroom (charged). Motorhome services. Shop (all season). Play area for younger children. Large field for ball games. Family games room. The river can be used for fishing (permit from reception) swimming and small boats. Caravan storage. WiFi (free).

Location

Leave M6 at exit 34, and take A683 towards Kirkby Lonsdale. After 5 miles take B6480 signed to High Bentham. From the east, take A65 after Settle. The site is signed at B6480, turn left. At Black Bull Hotel follow caravan signs. The park entrance is on right after crossing river bridge.
