Resort & Camping - Val De Braye is a quiet and green place to stay in a riverside location just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Bessé-sur-Braye and an hour's drive from Tours. Wander down to the banks of the river Braye that hug the edge of the site, it's a great spot for fishing, permit required. Or for simply taking advantage of the peace and quiet to relax, read a book or tuck into a picnic. The bar has snacks and meals during the day, while those who prefer to cook have the on-site food shop. You can also walk the short distance into the centre of Bessé-sur-Braye, where the Saturday market is not to be missed.

This is château country. The nearest is Château de Courtanvaux, a few minutes’ drive away (or half an hour's walk), where kids' activities are organised during summer. You could also check out the Château de Montmirail (35 minutes' drive), a medieval castle dating from the 15th century overlooking an attractive village below. Next, take the time to visit the village of Trôo, home to cave-dwellers during the medieval period who carved their homes out of the local limestone hills (10 minutes). If you're travelling as a family, head next to the Saint Calais leisure centre (under 15 minutes), where pedalos, boules, miniature golf and playgrounds are all on the cards. The city of Tours with its historic districts and timber-fronted houses is an hour away,

Directions to Resort & Camping - Val De Braye

From the N12 on the North side of Vendome join Avenue Georges Guimond. Bear right to join Avenue Ronsard. After a roundabout bear left to join the D5 signed Navail and Villiers. Continue on D5 towards Villiers-sur-Loire and Savigny-sur-Braye. From Savigny-sur-Braye take the D31 and D66 towards Bessé-sur-Braye. On the edge of the town turn right onto the D8. At a cross roads turn left onto D303 and the site is on the left off this road.
