Alan Rogers Review of Redbrick Barn
Redbrick Barn is not your normal site, in fact what you will be staying on is the owners garden and is maintained that way. The site is kept neat and tidy with a manicured lawn and an ever-growing selection of plants and shrubs. The aim is to offer visitors an experience that harks back to the popular beginnings of caravanning when you could park up and relax totally autonomously without toilet blocks and pitches - just take in the beauty of your surroundings. However, power and water are provided but this is optional. The site has just 5 grass pitches with electric hook-up.
There are so many things to see and do around here. There are largescale events at the Three Counties Showground, such as the Spring and Autumn shows, Eastnor have outside musical events and are host to the UK best firework display competition (a must) then there is Upton which hosts many live music festivals throughout the year including Jazz, Folk and Blues festivals many of which are free and have venues dotted around the village. Not forgetting the Welland Steam Show possibly the largest regular event locally normally held in July and is truly fascinating to see.
Several top-quality local pubs including the Farmers Arms offer good quality local beers and wines are as well as a variety of menu styles for every budget and taste. Visit the local micro-breweries and the Three Choirs and Lovells vineyards for a tour and tasting. The Malvern spring water company can also supply pure and tasty mineral water, but locals collect it for free at British Camp. The lowlands of the Malverns are ideal for cycling, walking and running; if you are more adventurous you could of course run or cycle the 'Malverns'.
