Located on the beautiful Tahkuna peninsula on Estonia’s second largest island, Hiiumaa, staying at Randmäe Pukhetalu feels like camping at the end of the world. The site has around 60 touring pitches, some with shade from mature trees, and including ten large pitches with 16A electricity. There are also several tent fields, some with good views to the sea. The owners are really working hard to develop this relatively new site. They have converted an old shed into a warm and comfortable lounge. There is also a sauna and three cabins with toilet, washbasin and shower.

To the front of the site are some wooden cabins and there is a guesthouse. During local holiday periods, the site can become crowded with locals but normally you should be able to enjoy a relaxing beach holiday in beautiful, natural surroundings.

Facilities at Randmäe Puhketalu

Good, modern toilet facilities with British style toilets, washbasins and controllable hot showers. Further toilets at the beach. Kiosk with basic supplies, drinks, takeaway meals and a covered terrace. Large communal grill. Fishing. Watersports. Bicycle hire. Beach. WiFi internet access. Hunting parties organised in winter.

Directions to Randmäe Puhketalu

From the ferry port in Heltermaa, take the 80 road north towards Kärdla and then on to Korgessaare. Turn onto the peninsula at sign for Tahkuna. At sign ‘Posti 4 km.’ the campsite is also signed. Continue from there on the bumpy gravel access road.
