Alan Rogers Review of PRL Le Vedrignans
Le Vedrignans can be found deep in the Catalan Pyrenees Regional Park on the border between France and Spain. It enjoys a spectacular natural setting, overlooked by towering mountains but with a very pleasant Mediterranean climate. This is a parc résidentiel de loisirs and there are no touring pitches here. Instead, accommodation is provided in a range of attractive wooden chalets. These range from the smaller Genets model, which can sleep up to four, to the larger Edelweiss chalets which can accommodate up to eight people. All chalets have privacy, are fully equipped and are located on large pitches of over 200 sq.m.
Saillagouse is a pretty town with fresh mountain air at an altitude of 1,300 m. and has a number of shops and restaurants. The village centre is just 300 m. from the site. There is also a station there for ‘le train jaune’, a delightful scenic railway running through some stunning mountain country between Villefranche and Latour-de-Carol. The site is open all year and is popular for winter sports during winter months. No fewer than 12 ski resorts can be accessed from Le Vedrignans.

Saillagouse is 90 km. west of Perpignan. From there head west on N116 to Prades and Mont Louis. Continue on this road to Saillagouse and the site is clearly signed in the centre of town.
