Set on top of sand dunes overlooking and with direct access to the beach, Ostseecamping is in a quiet location yet within easy reach of major towns in the region. There is good swimming from the beach, although the site does have a small swimming pool. Of the 450 level pitches, 300 are for touring units, all have electricity connections (10-16A) and 120 are fully serviced. They are set on grass and in places there is some tree shade. Outside the site there are eight quickstop facilities with electricity connections. This is a good site for families with entertainment programmes in summer, playgrounds and a gently shelving, sandy beach.

This part of Germany, formally the DDR, is not that well known to tourists, yet it has a great deal to offer in the way of sandy beaches, attractive landscapes and historic towns, cities and buildings. Anyone travelling to the Baltic coast should make a point of passing through and allowing a few hours to visit Schwerin with The Schloss and its gardens, set on an island in the Schweriner lake, the second largest in Northern Germany.

Two modern, attractive and well maintained sanitary blocks, one completely renovated in 2013, have a special children’s area, a baby bath and accessible facilities. Showers (on payment). Bathrooms to rent. Laundry room with washing machines and dryer. Shop (1/4-1/10). Bar. Restaurant. Takeaway. Indoor heated swimming pool. Sauna, massage and cosmetic studio. Multi-lingual children's club pre-school, Multi-lingual children's club 10-14 year olds, Multi-lingual children's club 5-10 year olds, Creative crafts, Bowling alley. Small zoo. Indoor playroom (free entry). Volleyball. Watersports centre with windsurfing, sailing and catamaran sailing. Go-kart and bicycle hire. WiFi over site and Internet in reception (charged).

Site is on the coast 6 km. northwest of Wismar. Leave Autobahn 20 at exit 8 Wismar Mitte, north to Gägelow then north on minor road to Zierow.
