Alan Rogers Review
This well established touring and caravan park, with new owners and now open all year, has been created in an old fruit orchard in a quiet location, yet is very convenient for the A1. It has a friendly feel, with just 77 pitches, all with 10A electricity, 34 with hardstanding and about 15 occupied by seasonal units. There is also a spacious camping field with good views. Reception is on the left as you arrive and a nearby cabin has information on attractions including Sundown Adventureland, Laxton Medieval village and Victorian Times, Rufford Abbey, Clumber Park, Sherwood Forest and the Robin Hood Centre.
Facilities
The heated toilet block has pushbutton showers, open style washbasins and a well equipped accessible room. Family shower room. Laundry with washing machines, dryer, free spin dryer, iron and a freezer for ice-packs. Small shop with basics and gas. Picnic area. Excellent adventure trail for children and nature walk. Apples, pears and blackberries can be picked in season. WiFi throughout (charged). Gas and charcoal barbecues permitted.
Location
Tuxford is 15 miles north of Newark and 18 miles west of Lincoln. Park is east of A1. Leave at signs for Tuxford and turn east on A6075 towards Lincoln (A57), continue through village and turn south towards Marnham for 0.5 miles. Site is on right 0.5 miles after railway bridge. Follow brown caravan signs.
