Alan Rogers Review
Michelle and Thierry Suquet offer a warm welcome to this comfortable, quiet, family site with stunning views. In a beautiful location on the Presqu’île Sauvage between Paimpol and Perros-Guirec, attractive trees and shrubs provide a balance of sun and shade for the 200 pitches. Of these, 140 are for touring, all with electricity (long leads may be needed in places) and some also have water and drainage. Pitches are on grassy terraces on the gradual descent towards the bay and the sea (a sandy bay with rocks). Most terraces have a slight slope, so those with motorhomes will need to choose their pitch carefully.
Open, level pitches nearer the sea are perhaps more suitable for tents as the electric connections from here are more distant. There are good opportunities for walking and cycling, with a way-marked footpath running along the coast to the Sillon du Talbert, a sandbank that juts out into the sea opposite the Ile de Bréhat. Many visitors are attracted to this excellent coastal area, particularly kayak enthusiasts.
Two traditional style toilet blocks are comfortable and fully equipped. Washbasins in cabins, British and Turkish style toilets. Cabins for families or disabled visitors. Washing machines and dryer. Bar/snacks with terrace and takeaway (30/6-24/8). Bread and croissants (all season). New covered and heated swimming pool (all season) and outdoor heated pool (1/7-3/9). Play area. Games room. Pétanque. Children’s entertainer in July/Aug. Beach, fishing and sailing. WiFi in reception area.
Pleubian is 37 km. north of Guingamp and 87 km. by road east of Roscoff. From D786 Lannion-Paimpol road, east of Tréguier turn north on D20 to Pleubian and on for 2 km. towards l’Armor Pleubian. Site signed to left.Link to campsite location map on google
