Alan Rogers Review
This delightful campsite is just 15 minutes from the port of Messina. With 70 pitches for caravans and motorcaravans to the rear of the site, all with 6A electricity, this offers a peaceful resting place after the long journey south. The site’s restaurant and pizzeria, among the best we have seen on our travels, are set alongside the pools in a beautiful garden and are such that you will not want to walk to the other local establishments.
Messina is an easy journey by bus and offers the chance to eat ‘pesce spada alla messinese’ (Messina swordfish). Or you can see the comical roaring lion and crowing cockerel at the world’s largest astronomical clock near the cathedral. The more adventurous can climb the campanile to see the figures close up.
The sanitary blocks provide ample toilets, showers and washbasins. Facilities for disabled visitors (plus another in the restaurant). Motorcaravan services. Shop, bar, restaurant and pizzeria (1/6-30/9). Two swimming pools with lifeguard. Miniclub (July/Aug). Bicycle hire. WiFi (charged).

Site is well signed from Messina Port. At the port exit turn right at traffic lights and head north along Viale della Liberta, then Consolare Pompea (SS113). Go through Ganzirri with lake on your right. At first crossroads turn right again alongside the lake and at T-junction turn left. Site is on the left where the road forks.
