Alan Rogers Review of Nibe Camping
Nibe Camping is a family run site with welcoming, enthusiastic and hardworking owners, who speak good English. It is next to the peaceful waters of Limfjord and a 15 minute walk from the old town centre of Nibe. There are 170 numbered pitches, of which 120 are for tourers. All have electricity (13A) and are arranged in rows separated by hedges. The pitches are spacious (100-140 sq.m), and those next to the fjord have uninterrupted views. There are watersports and swimming in the fjord and the site has a heated swimming pool (8x16 m), slide and splash pool and a children’s pool, all with paved sunbathing area. The sanitary block, covered barbecue, kitchen/laundry and outside area add to the site’s features. There is some traffic noise.
Good paths have been provided for superb, easy walks and bicycle rides in either direction and indeed, right into the nearby town of Nibe. This is a delightful example of an old Danish town with picturesque cottages and handsome 15th-century church. Its harbour, once prosperous from local herring boats, is now more concerned with pleasure craft.
Facilities at Nibe Camping
Sanitary block with modern fittings. A second central sanitary unit includes washbasins in cubicles, four family bathrooms, a baby room and accessible sanitary facilities. Good kitchen and small dining area. Fully equipped laundry. Hot water (except in washbasins) is charged for. Motorhome services. Shop. Café/takeaway serving traditional Danish dishes. Swimming pool (June-Aug). Play area. Minigolf. Boules. TV rooms. Games room. Fishing. Bicycle hire. Boat launching. Small beach. Covered communal barbecue area. WiFi (charged).
