Alan Rogers Review
This campsite is currently closed due to the owners retirement.
This site is set on the lower slopes of the Sierra Almijara, some five kilometres from Nerja and two kilometres from some excellent beaches. Nerja Camping is a small, sloping site of 51 pitches with impressive views of the surrounding mountains and the Mediterranean. There are 25 touring pitches (16A electricity) and four new mobile homes to rent. The pitches are on the small side and set on slopes with some terracing along with some artificial shade. The roads, although sloping, should present few problems for siting units.
The small hut-style restaurant doubles as a bar and has a small terrace where you can order snacks and meals. The owners help with all activities and also recommend restaurants in the area – when out try the inland meat speciality ‘Cabrito Asado’ which is roast kid. Many enthusiasts enjoy the walking hereabouts – join in or use the book available here written by a local English lady who loves walking. Being situated slightly above but alongside the main coast road, it is easy to find.
The single sanitary block has been refurbished and tiled; all washbasins and showers have hot water. Laundry facilities. Small restaurant/bar (May-Sept). Essentials from the bar. Small swimming pool (Mar-Sept). Accommodation to rent. Free WiFi throughout.
