El Templo del Sol is a large, luxurious, terraced naturist site with a distinctly Arabesque feel and superb buildings in Moorish style. The owner has designed the magnificent main turreted building at the entrance with fountains and elaborate Moorish arches.

The site has over 387 pitches of two different sizes, some with car parking alongside and 118 with full services. There is shade and the pitches are on terraces giving rewarding views over the sea. Attractive steps give ready access to the sandy beach. There is some daytime rail noise especially in the lower areas of the site where the larger pitches are located.

Three large, tiered swimming pools are wonderful with water cascading from one to the other and are part of a supporting complex containing a huge luxurious jacuzzi with cracking views over the sea, a large bar with snacks, a games area, plus a sunbathing area on the roof. Also included is a Solar Park where visitors may learn about how solar energy is used and applied. The main building contains an impressive reception area and has an elegant restaurant with a terrace and an elegant mosaic central, open area with a fountain and a luxury cinema. This grouping of services are said to be among the best in European naturist sites. Site lighting is provided from pleasing serpent shaped light assemblies. The site is under French management (the same as ES85400 Torre del Sol) and English is spoken.

From N340 south of Tarragona, exit at km. 1126 towards L’Hopitalet Plaja and follow signs. Heading north, near km. 1124, turn right immediately after a modern railway bridge and site is just 400 m. on the right.
