In a quiet position on the edge of town, with the river Jagst along one side, this modern three-hectare site, from which you can see the large hilltop castle, has a park-like appearance with mature trees giving plenty of shade. The 95 large, flat, grassy pitches, 70 for touring and including five hardstandings are numbered off tarmac and gravel access roads. Electricity is available for all the pitches from central boxes (16A). All the facilities are in one area to the left of the site entrance in modern units, with reception, a small shop for basic supplies and a bar/restaurant with a terrace open all year.
Formerly a municipal, the site is now part of the Azur Leisure group and is only five kilometres from the A7 autobahn, making it an ideal stopover when travelling north or south. The fascinating old town of Ellwangen is just 15 minutes’ walk, and a longer stay would be both relaxing and informative. Outside the barrier are eight stellplatz pitches for low-cost, short stay visits.

Directions to Natur & City Camping Ellwangen
From A7 Ulm-Würzburg autobahn take exit 113 and follow signs Ellwangen. Pass through two tunnels, after which the site is signed on road to Rotenbach village. It is next to the Hallenbad (indoor pool), with a fairly tight left turn into the entrance road.
