Alan Rogers Review of Mullion Holiday Park
For those who enjoy plenty of entertainment, both social and active in a holiday environment, Mullion would be a good choice. This holiday park is situated on the Lizard peninsula with its sandy beaches and coves. It has all the trimmings – indoor and outdoor pools, super play areas, clubs, bars and a wide range of nightly entertainment. The touring area now includes some holiday homes but a 28 day field will compensate offering extra standard pitches for high season. The main touring pitches are on natural heathland with some clumps of bramble and gorse which make for a more informal layout. Linked by a circular gravel road there are 84 numbered pitches with 16A electricity. An extra nine are serviced pitches with hardstanding.
The Stargate Club and a village square with a bandstand form the core of the park and are well organised and managed. A resident warden is based at the entrance to the touring section. There is much to see in the area including Goonhilly Satellite Station and Flambards Village, the theme park, Lizard Point and Lands End.
Facilities at Mullion Holiday Park
A central basic toilet block is fully equipped and includes a baby unit. Two washing machines. Large launderette in main complex. Freezer pack service. Large supermarket with off licence. Pub/grill with family room, restaurant and takeaway (half board or breakfast options). Stargate Club with bar, live shows and cabarets, satellite TV. Excellent outdoor play areas (fenced). Toddlers’ soft play area. Amusement arcade, bowling alley. Heated outdoor pool and paddling pool (26/5-8/9), heated indoor fun pool (both supervised). Solarium. Crazy golf. Multisports court. Sports field and football pitch. Free WiFi in bar area. Max. 1 dog.
