Monkey Tree is a large site with 700 pitches and has the feel of a luxury holiday camp; access is easy off the B3285; as you enter the site, you will see a large reception building on the right and a security barrier in front of you. There is a choice of six types of pitches, from basic pitches with just EHU up to ultra-deluxe with ensuite facilities on the pitch and a covered outdoor dining area, all are generous in size, and most are divided by established hedging and trees; the slopes are situated in various fields across the 56-acre park. There are 70-holiday homes to rent, and they have their own areas, as do several seasonal caravans. Facilities, as you would expect on this site, are excellent. During the holiday season, there is much going on at Monkey Tree, and all the family should find something to keep them happy.

There is an all-day Kids’ Club and a free indoor soft play area for the little ones. For older children, there are adventure playgrounds, crazy golf and an amusement arcade. For everyone, there is an outdoor heated pool; in addition to the pool, there is a new raised outdoor seating terrace so you can enjoy a drink on those warm Cornish summer evenings. The club and restaurant are popular, with entertainment for children early in the evening and bingo, karaoke, disco and cabaret acts to follow. Themed weekends are organised early and late in the season, with Halloween being especially popular. Venturing off the park, there are beautiful beaches and a range of water sports to enjoy, and places such as the Eden Project and Camels Creek are a must to visit.

Directions to Monkey Tree Holiday Park

Follow the A30 ignoring all signs for Newquay. At Carland Cross (windmills on the right) carry straight over following signs for Perranporth. After 1 mile turn right at Boxheater Junction on B3285 signed Perranporth and Goonhavern. Follow for 0.5 miles then turn right into Scotland Road for 1 mile to park on the left.
