Located at the head of the spectacular Ardèche Gorge, Mondial Camping is a friendly, family run site. Situated on the bank of the river, it offers the experience of canoe trips downstream with minibuses provided for the return. There are 211 pitches with 6/10A electricity and 33 of these also provide water and drainage. The grass pitches are an acceptable size, with good shade and separated by some topiary styled hedges. There are 24 mobile homes and five tents available to rent. The site has a good sports provision and a pool complex with one pool for swimming, one for children and another with water slides.

Mondial is close to Vallon-Pont-d’Arc with its many shops, bars, restaurants and weekly market. A full length canoe trip takes nine hours and can include an overnight stop. Alternatively, shorter trips are available and both can be organised from the site. The Gorges d’Ardèche has a route for those who prefer tarmac. A good wide road, the D290, takes you along the sides of the valley with numerous stunning viewpoints conveniently sited on your side of the road. A beautiful circuit that comes back along the same road would take you to the village of Saint Martin-d’Ardèche and could include a meal at the Auberge d’Pont d’Arc, a ‘must see’ stop to view the famous landmark of the same name.

Facilities at Mondial Camping

Three modern sanitary units are tiled, very clean and heated in low season. Good accessible facilities. A fourth smaller block services the multisport court and outdoor heated pools and has facilities for babies. Full motorhome service point. Restaurant and takeaway, bar. Good mini-supermarket. Games room. Play area, organised entertainment for children and sports in high season. Archery. Canoe hire and launching. Fishing (licence required). Internet access. WiFi throughout (charged).

Directions to Mondial Camping

From Aubenas take the D579 towards Ruoms. Continue south on the D579 at Vallon Pont d’Arc take the Route Gorges d’Ardèche (D290). Site is 1 km. on the right and well signed.
