Camping ’t Hout is a holiday paradise for children with its covered playground, indoor play paradise, open-air fun pool with paddling pool and animal farm. The site is in the woods, just outside the interesting village of Bakkeveen. It has 250 touring pitches on seven well cared for grassy fields, all with cable. Of these, 130 have 10A electricity, water, waste water and a numbered parking place. Other pitches have 4A electricity. The central building next to the pool also houses a bakery selling croissants, pizza and bread rolls, and there is an open-air terrace for drinks.

The pool complex, named Flippies Plonstuin, has a 45 m. long water slide and a family slide. For toddlers there are three safe paddling pools where they can be entertained by Flippie Butterfly. In high season Pet and Jet get on stage in the evening for a sing-along. Entertainment includes musicals and a disco for children. Those interested in nature can opt for walking and biking tours in the extensive woodlands surrounding the site. Some road noise can be heard.

Directions to Molecaten Park ’t Hout

On A28 in either direction, take exit Beilen-Noord and continue on N31 towards Drachten. Take the exit Wijnjewoude/Bakkeveen after 35 km. and then follow the site signs.
